Sky Ride in Southampton 2011

The Sky ride is a free cycling event where riders of all ages cycled the traffic-free 7.3km route through the city at their own pace. The event was sponsored by Sky and British Cycling, in partnership with Southampton City Council. The aim is to get one million more Britons cycling regularly by the end of 2013.
The Sky ride is happening in different parts of the country & 14,000 people joined the Sky ride Southampton on 14th August. It was a whole day event, they even organized other activities and entertainment for everyone.

 This year, nagdecide si Papa Erick na sumali, at syempre hindi pwedeng hindi kasama si Poj! It was such a gloriously sunny day and the boys had a lot of fun. Papa Erick decided to only do the morning route knowing that more than that would be too much for little Poj.

The day has inspired us to plan a cycling day out one weekend in the New Forest here in Hampshire. It'll be a cycling/picnic day out and we can't wait. We are just hoping for a sunny weekend in September to make it happen. And to all my friends who knows I can't cycle, may solusyon kami dyan - ang pagkabit ng trailer buggy! Papahuli ba naman ako? lol =)

  1. If I was there, I'd probably one of them and for sure I had a lot of fun.

    Look at little Poj, seryosong-seryoso, nakakatuwa yung chair niya sa bike. Buti half day lang sila kundi panigurado magwawala yan sa pagod at init.

    Ang cute naman nung trailer buggy mo! mag-practice ka na kasi para when the day comes, ikaw naman mag-angkas kay Poj! hehehe!

    At kahit half day lang sya ay super nasunog sya kasi nga mainit, pero happy pa rin. The child seat is fab!

    @michi Glad to hear na hindi pala ako nagiisa sa mundo, hhe. Thanks Michi =)

    @Marjorie Thanks Marj, marami rin namang ibang participants na may kasamang anak. Dito kasi maraming cyclists, kaya sa mga parents kasa-kasama rin mga anak nila until they're old enough to ride their own bikes. =)

    @kikilabotz Thanks kikilabotz =)

    @Spanish Pinay Hehe, I'm sure you can buy them there. They are sold separately & mabibili mo sya sa mga bilihan ng bikes and sa amazon =) Thanks ah =)
